[recipe] Off the wall energy balls

Hey everyone!

I made some pretty legit snacks last night (vouched for by my friends) and thought I'd share the recipe with you all. Because I can't have nuts, these are nut-free, gluten-free, raw and vegan! 

Here are a few tidbits on a few of the key ingredients:

Maca root - This natural supplement is great for balancing hormones and promoting libido. It is also amazing for people with chronic fatigue since it'll provide energy without the caffeine!

Cinnamon - Not only is cinnamon delicious, it's also great for heart health and balancing blood sugar levels. Its got anti-inflammatory properties and is high in antioxidants. 

Sunflower butter - This is my go-to spread because I can't have nuts. Its loaded with healthy fats, magnesium, zinc, vitamin E and more! 

Off the Wall Energy Balls (makes around 18-20)


1) Put all ingredients into a food processor and blend until combined. You'll know its ready when the mixture looks a bit chunky and solid. 

2) Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a baking sheet. 

3) Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.

4) Devour. 


1 1/2 tsp - raw maca powder

1 tbsp - ground cinnamon

1 tbsp - raw cacao powder

1/4 cup cacao nibs

8-10 - pitted dates

4 tbsp - sunflower butter

1/4 cup - currants

1 tsp - vanilla extract
